Sukono is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran. He is currently chair of the Research Collaboration Community (RCC), in the field of applied mathematics, with a focus on financial mathematics and actuarial sciences. He is also a member of the Indonesian Mathematical Society (IndoMS), the Indonesian Operations Research Association (IORA), the International Association of Engineers (IAENG).
