The grain output of China increased continuously for 11 years from 2004 to 2014, effectively ensuring security of the country’s food supply. At the same time, rapid advancement of urbanization and industrialization generated marked changes in the food consumption patterns of residents, and supply-demand structural problems, such as the variety, quality and region of grains, became increasingly prominent. Currently, national food security goes beyond the guarantee of total grain demand. Therefore, both the production and consumption systems must be evaluated to produce a scientific measurement of food security. From the perspective of food production-consumption coordination and matching, this article sets up a multidimensional coupling assessment index system and model, and carries out assessment of the food security level and the warning status of China between 1995 and 2012. Results show that the level of quantity coordination remained high and the level of variety coordination fluctuated before 2006 and continued decreasing afterwards. The regional coordination level largely continued to decline during the whole research period. The level of coordination of Chinese food production-consumption was high overall. The warning situation existed only for four years, but it started to decrease continuously since 2007 because of aggravated structural and regional disharmony. The state of coordination at the early stage primarily reflected variation of food production, but that of the later stage greatly reflected the problems caused by food consumption. In the future, food security of China can be ensured overall, but regional and variety coordination problems may worsen further, which may exert a potentially negative influence on agricultural trade, industrial security and market stability, thereby leading to decrease in food security at the regional and household levels. In the future, this problem can be addressed by ensuring the self-sufficiency of core varieties of grains, building interest coordination mechanisms in the production and sale regions, forming a modern food and nutrition development pattern, and making additional efforts to save grains.

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) comprises systemic inflammatory conditions primarily affecting the gastrointestinal tract, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. This research aims to analyze the clinical symptoms and pathogenesis of a Dextran sodium sulfate (DSS)-induced canine IBD model and evaluate the restorative effect of ginsenoside from a pathogenesis perspective. We established the DSS-induced canine IBD model and studied the pathological mechanisms. Additionally, we examined the therapeutic effect of ginsenosides by assessing the Canine Inflammatory Bowel Disease Activity Index (CIBDAI), C-reactive protein (CRP) levels, colonic tissue morphology, protein expression, and mucosal bacterial community analysis. Our findings revealed a total ginsenoside content of 22.7% in the ginsenoside extract. Animal experiments demonstrated that dogs with IBD exhibited decreased mental state, significantly increased CIBDAI and CRP levels, disrupted colonic epithelial tissue structure, decreased expression of mucin, tight junctions, and adherens junctions, as well as reduced diversity of the colonic mucosal bacterial community. Furthermore, correlation analysis highlighted a total of 38 bacterial strains correlated with physiological indices. Significantly, ginsenoside treatment could improve these symptoms and reverse the relative abundance of some bacterial communities. In conclusion, alterations in the properties of the colonic mucus layer or the reduction in MUC2, its core component, in dogs with IBD can lead to bacterial penetration of the mucus layer and subsequent contact with intestinal epithelial cells, resulting in inflammation. Remarkably, ginsenoside intervention showcased the capacity to positively influence the relative abundance of bacteria and impact the colonic mucus layer properties, thereby offering promising prospects for IBD management and recovery.

The real-time detection and localization of dynamic targets in cattle farms are crucial for the effective operation of intelligent equipment. To overcome the limitations of wearable devices, including high costs and operational stress, this paper proposes a lightweight, non-contact solution. The goal is to improve the accuracy and efficiency of target localization while reducing the complexity of the system. A novel approach is introduced based on YOLOv8s, incorporating a C2f_DW_StarBlock module. The system fuses binocular images from a ZED2i camera with GPS and IMU data to form a multimodal ranging and localization module. Experimental results demonstrate a 36.03% reduction in model parameters, a 33.45% decrease in computational complexity, and a 38.67% reduction in model size. The maximum ranging error is 4.41%, with localization standard deviations of 1.02 m (longitude) and 1.10 m (latitude). The model is successfully integrated into an ROS system, achieving stable real-time performance. This solution offers the advantages of being lightweight, non-contact, and low-maintenance, providing strong support for intelligent farm management and multi-target monitoring.

Livestock health knowledge graphs are essential for decision-making and reasoning in animal husbandry, yet existing knowledge is scattered across unstructured literature and encoded in narrowly scoped, species-specific models, resulting in semantic fragmentation and limited reusability. To address these issues, we proposed FARM (Four-dimensional Automated-Reasoning Multi-agent), a zero-shot multi-agent framework used for constructing multi-species livestock health knowledge graphs. FARM is grounded in a Four-Dimension Livestock Health Framework encompassing Rearing Environment, Physiological Status, Feed & Water Inputs, and Production Performance, and employs a unified ontology strategy that integrates cross-species general labels with species-specific constraints to achieve semantic alignment. The framework orchestrates five specialized agents—Coordination, Entity Extraction, Ontology Normalization, Relation Extraction, and Knowledge Fusion—to automate the construction process. Experiments on 2478 expertly annotated text samples demonstrate that FARM achieves an entity-level F1 score of 0.8070 (IoU ≥ 0.5), surpassing the strongest baseline by 0.1627. Moreover, it attains a corrected entity label accuracy of 90.44% and an F1 score of 0.9277 in relation existence identification, outperforming the baseline by 0.1114. Validation on 500 image samples further confirms its capability in multimodal evidence fusion. The resulting knowledge graph contains 29,064 entities and 26,662 triples, providing a reusable foundation for zero-shot extraction and unified cross-species semantic modeling.

This paper first defines the development direction and development goals of intelligent greenhouses in the era of big data. At the same time, based on the lack of research on the synergistic effect of the existing intelligent greenhouse on the indoor and outdoor environment, the analysis and design of the greenhouse intelligent control system based on indoor and outdoor environmental data is proposed. The system has the advantage of pre-regulation before the environmental parameter changes beyond the threshold to make the greenhouse environment more stable and suitable. At the same time, the predicted values are converted into easy-to-understand grading indicators to facilitate farmers to understand the application. This paper aims to analyze and design the feasibility and practical application of the system.
