Voluntary pro-environmental behaviors in the workplace such as organizational citizenship behavior towards environment (OCBE) are pertinent for the organizations striving to become environmentally responsible entities. The significance of OCBE for green organizational initiatives has led scholars to strive for expanding its nomological network. Approaching from the theoretical angle of the social information processing approach, this quantitative, survey-based study theoretically links and empirically tests the impact of environmental transformational leadership on organizational citizenship behavior towards environment (OCBE) via mediating mechanism of perceived meaningful work. Data from a sample of 311 employees working in Pakistan’s hospitality sector were collected and analyzed to test the hypothesized relationships using structural equation modelling. Results indicated the indirect effect of perceived meaningful work on the relationship between environmental transformational leadership and organizational citizenship behavior towards environment. Implications of both theoretical and practical nature are laid out in the relevant sections of the paper.

The aim of the present study is to determine the effects of hospital service qualities on patient satisfaction in the healthcare sector of Pakistan. By using the non-probability sampling, 292 sample was gathered. Emotional exhaustion, organizational citizenship behavior, hospital and nurses facilities were used as predictors and trustworthiness was used as a moderator. The results from structural equation modeling revealed that hospital facilities quality and OCB have been found positively significant while nursing service quality and emotional exhaustion have been found insignificant in relation with patient satisfaction. Moreover, trustworthiness does not moderates any relationship in the structural model. The study concluded that the staff allocated is manifesting form of behavioral citizenship structured by cultural decorum and locally acceptable norms. Alongside citizenship, high quality miscellaneous supportive provisions comprising of sufficient backup equipment, medical apparatus and tools as well as the regular maintenance of utilities stand as considerable satisfaction determining aspects for patients. The cognitive dimensions in the form of trust structuring attributes don’t really add much to the contributions of facilities and citizenship found in hospitals.

Strategic planning plays an important and key role in the success and survival of all kinds of business organizations. More specifically in the small and medium enterprises which are considered as the back bone of any economy in the present world. Though in current complex world the strategic planning is essential for any organization success in business arenas but the research from the perspective of constituent components of strategic planning is just at the starting point today. Similarly the research from strategic planning perspective in developing countries is very limited. Thus the literature of strategic planning at present is demanding more empirical studies to be conducted and more specifically in the context of small and medium enterprises of developing countries.
