Professor Chia-Yen Lee is a Professor at the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology and leads the Micro-Sensor Lab in the Department of Materials Engineering. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the National Taiwan University, and a Ph.D. in Engineering Science from the National Cheng Kung University. Professor Lee has been a visiting scholar of the California Institute of Technology and has published over 80 journal papers on the subject of MEMS and micro-sensors. In 2024, he was awarded the Best Researcher Award for Sensing Technology due to his substantial contributions to the field of sensor technology and MEMS. His recent innovative studies on ZnO thin-film sensors, pyroelectric infrared sensors, and Hall sensor arrays demonstrate significant advancements in micro-sensors and environmental monitoring.
