The benefits of an increased number of global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) in space have been confirmed for the robustness and convergence time of standard precise point positioning (PPP) solutions, as well as improved accuracy when (most of) the ambiguities are fixed. Yet, it is still worthwhile to investigate fast and high-precision GNSS parameter estimation to meet user needs. This contribution focuses on integer ambiguity resolution-enabled Precise Point Positioning (PPP-RTK) in the use of the observations from four global navigation systems, i.e., GPS (Global Positioning System), Galileo (European Global Navigation Satellite System), BDS (Chinese BeiDou Navigation Satellite System), and GLONASS (Global’naya Navigatsionnaya Sputnikova Sistema). An undifferenced and uncombined PPP-RTK model is implemented for which the satellite clock and phase bias corrections are computed from the data processing of a group of stations in a network and then provided to users to help them achieve integer ambiguity resolution on a single receiver by calibrating the satellite phase biases. The dataset is recorded in a local area of the GNSS network of the Netherlands, in which 12 stations are regarded as the reference to generate the corresponding corrections and 21 as the users to assess the performance of the multi-GNSS PPP-RTK in both kinematic and static positioning mode. The results show that the root-mean-square (RMS) errors of the ambiguity float solutions can achieve the same accuracy level of the ambiguity fixed solutions after convergence. The combined GNSS cases, on the contrary, reduce the horizontal RMS of GPS alone with 2 cm level to GPS + Galileo/GPS + Galileo + BDS/GPS + Galileo + BDS + GLONASS with 1 cm level. The convergence time benefits from both multi-GNSS and fixing ambiguities, and the performances of the ambiguity fixed solution are comparable to those of the multi-GNSS ambiguity float solutions. For instance, the convergence time of GPS alone ambiguity fixed solutions to achieve 10 cm three-dimensional (3D) positioning accuracy is 39.5 min, while it is 37 min for GPS + Galileo ambiguity float solutions; moreover, with the same criterion, the convergence time of GE ambiguity fixed solutions is 19 min, which is better than GPS + Galileo + BDS + GLONASS ambiguity float solutions with 28.5 min. The experiments indicate that GPS alone occasionally suffers from a wrong fixing problem; however, this problem does not exist in the combined systems. Finally, integer ambiguity resolution is still necessary for multi-GNSS in the case of fast achieving very-high-accuracy positioning, e.g., sub-centimeter level.

In contrast to the US Global Positioning System (GPS), the Russian Global Navigation Satellite System (GLONASS) and the European Galileo, the developing Chinese BeiDou satellite navigation system (BDS) consists of not only Medium Earth Orbit (MEO), but also Geostationary Orbit (GEO) as well as Inclined Geosynchronous Orbit (IGSO) satellites. In this study, the Precise Point Positioning (PPP) and PPP with Integer Ambiguity Resolution (IAR) are obtained. The contributions of these three different types of BDS satellites to PPP in Asia–Pacific region are assessed using data from selected 20 sites over more than four weeks. By using various PPP cases with different satellite combinations, in general, the largest contribution of BDS IGSO among the three kinds of BDS satellites to the reduction of convergence time and the improvement of positioning accuracy, particularly in the east direction, is identified. These PPP cases include static BDS only solutions and static/kinematic ambiguity-float and -fixed PPP with the combination of GPS and BDS. The statistical results demonstrate that the inclusion of BDS GEO and MEO satellites can improve the observation condition and result in better PPP performance as well. When combined with GPS, the contribution of BDS to the reduction of convergence time is, however, not as significant as that of GLONASS. As far as the positioning accuracy is concerned, GLONASS improves the accuracy in vertical component more than BDS does, whereas similar improvement in horizontal component can be achieved by inclusion of BDS IGSO and MEO as GLONASS.

The operation mode of a single strip provides incomplete side-scan sonar image in a specific environment and range, resulting in the overlapping area between adjacent strips often with imperfect detection information or inaccurate target contour. In this paper, a sum-modified Laplacian energy filtering (SMLF) and improved dual-channel pulse coupled neural network (IDPCNN) are proposed for image fusion of side-scan sonar in the domain of nonsubsampled contourlet transform (NSCT). Among them, SMLF energy is applied to extract the fusion coefficients of the low frequency sub-band, which combines the characteristics of energy information, human visual contrast, and guided filtering to eliminate the pseudo contour effect of block flow. In addition, the IDPCNN model, which utilizes the average gradient, soft limit function, and novel sum-modified Laplacian (NSML) to adaptively represent the corresponding excitation parameters, is applied to improve the depth and activity of pulse ignition, so as to quickly and accurately select the image coefficients of the high frequency sub-band. The experimental results show that the proposed method displays fine geomorphic information and clear target contour in the overlapping area of adjacent strips. The objective index values are generally optimal, which reflect the information of image edge, clarity, and overall similarity.

He role of target tracking in target tracking is crucial, but there is a problem with low accuracy. Online monitoring methods cannot solve the problem of accurate locking in target tracking, and the recognition rate is low. Therefore, this paper proposes a visual adaptive tracking method for online target tracking. Firstly, the adaptation theory is used to accurately lock the tracking target and divide it according to the target tracking requirements to reduce the interference factors in the proper locking. Then, the adaptation theory is applied to online target tracking, forming an accurate locking sample and continuously and accurately locking the target tracking requirements. MATLAB simulation shows that the accurate locking accuracy and locking time of the visual adaptation tracking method are better than those of the online monitoring method under the condition that the exact locking requirement is particular.
