Qun Hao received her Ph.D. degree in Optical Instruments from Tsinghua University, China, in 1997. She became a professor in 2003 and currently serves as the dean of the School of Optoelectronics at the Beijing Institute of Technology. She is the executive director of the Chinese Optical Society, the director of the China Instrument and Control Society, the director of the Optics Council of the China Ordnance Society, the director of the Photoelectric Technology Council of the Chinese Optical Society, and the director of the Chinese Society for Measurement. She has been engaged in optoelectronic detecting and active imaging systems for more than 20 years. She holds 30 patents and has published over 180 technical articles. Her current research interests include 3D imaging LIDAR and novel detection techniques.
