Dr. Letícia Scherer Koester graduated in Pharmacy (1997) with a D.Sc in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2003) from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). She is a Full Professor in the Department of Production and Quality Control of Medicines at the same institution. She was president of the Graduate Chamber of UFRGS (2016-2018) and Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences (PPGCF/UFRGS) (2019-2021). She is the Guest Editor of the Special Issues "Evaluation and formulation of Bioactive Terpenes" and “Potential of Nano/Microemulsions for Drugs and Phytochemicals Delivery”, published by MDPI. Her research interests mainly focus on pharmaceutical technology, nanotechnology, natural products, and essential oils. Her scientific output includes 104 publications, corresponding to 2315 citations (h-index 27) (Scopus, 26 December 2023).
