In the ongoing coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) pandemic, the most vulnerable groups are those with pre-existing health problems and the elderly due to their reduced immune system to prevent infection. Nutrition plays a significant role in maintaining the immune system to prevent pathogen manifestation. This review aimed to identify and discuss the role of nutrients in COVID-19 in developing immunity. Studies included in this review were obtained from articles published in reputable journals accessed from the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website, leading search engine, in a retrospective timeframe from January 1 to May 2, 2020, using specified keywords. The search resulted in seven articles relevant to the objective of the review. They highlighted the role of nutrients, namely the deficiency of essential nutrients that might exacerbate the health status. The consumption of certain nutrients, micronutrient and omega-3 might be tolerated up to the upper level of recommended dietary allowance (RDA) to benefit the health status. This review can assist in providing the prevention and mitigation approach to improve immunity amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The government should expand the continuous delivery of messages regarding the benefit of appropriate nutrients in maintaining health and immune system. Furthermore, the current condition gives the best opportunity to educate the community on a healthy and balanced diet for daily life.

Abstract  Museums located in the Kota Tua area of DKI Jakarta Province are tourist destinations that store collections related to the maritime world of Indonesia in the past. After the fire in early 2018, the Maritime Museum continuously improved its collection information so visitors could relish it. Furthermore, in community service activities held by Gunadarma University, an inventory of museum collections is carried out to collect photos and videos of available displays by optimizing the resources owned by the Maritime Museum. This activity is carried out in five stages: preparation, data collection and compilation of information, database creation, and implementation. The preparation stage was carried out in the first year by collecting information online and in person. In contrast, data collection activities were carried out by taking photos and videos of the collection. In the second year, the collection database and product implementation will be continued to be applied in the Museum. This publication will elaborate on the data collection stage and compilation of information collection. Improving the quality and access to display can reach museum enthusiasts, increasing literacy, which can help increase the visitation for museums in Indonesia, especially DKI Jakarta.

Global malnutrition has expanded to multiple causes, characterized by the coexistence of malnutrition problems. In many countries, child stunting/wasting occurs alongside rising obesity and diet-related non-communicable diseases in adults. The depletion of soil and crop minerals exacerbates hidden hunger worldwide. To address this problem, we need to invest substantial effort and adopt a broad perspective to transform the gene-to-plate continuum into a framework for a sustainable food system. This guidance aims to effect a fundamental shift in how the problem is conceptualized, moving beyond single-sector interventions to ensure year-round access to diverse, nutrient-dense foods through climate-smart agriculture, biofortification, and the use of local biodiversity. This conceptual paper develops the Gene-to-Plate framework, using Indonesia as the primary setting and comparative illustrations from Peru and South Africa, to propose and guide multisectoral policy in addressing malnutrition. Effective strategies involve community-based food programs, multisectoral policy integration, and strong nutrition networks. Case studies from Peru, Indonesia, and South Africa demonstrate that the development of local food systems and enhanced dietary diversity can sustainably mitigate malnutrition and decrease dependence on imports. Sustainable, locally grounded food systems are vital to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2 and 3. The transformation from gene to plate—integrating production, distribution, and nutrition education—offers a long-term pathway to reducing malnutrition.
