Introduction: Pressure ulcers (PU) are a major health problem, causing increased health costs as well as workload of health workers. In this study, we aimed to analyze the developments in PUs and to add perspective to future studies by examining the research articles published on PUs, which is an increasing health problem worldwide. Material and methods: Bibliometric analysis method was used in this study. The data was obtained by searching the Elsevier Scopus database with using the keywords “pressure ulcer” or “bedsore” or “decubitus ulcer” or “decubitus” or “pressure sore”. Results: 4,361 articles were analyzed in terms of study criteria. The first article was published in the year 1849 and 52.94 % of articles were published after the year 2011. Most of the articles were written in English (87.6%) language. The majority 29.32%) of articles were from the United States of America (USA). USA, United Kingdom and Japan were the top three publishing countries. Most of the articles were in the area of medicine [n =2896(66.4%)] and nursing [n=1903(43.63%)]. The highest number of articles on PUs were published in the journals of Ostomy Wound Management (n=177), Journal of Wound Care (n=156), International Wound Journal (n=144), Journal of Wound Ostomy And Continence Nursing (n=141) and Journal of Tissue Viability (n=126). Conclusions: As the number of immobile and debiliated patients increase globally, the publications on PUs seem to be increase too. Studies outside of Europe and the USA should also be supported and the number of publications should be increased, especially from developing countries.

Liver transplantation is considered the most effective treatment modality for end-stage liver failure. The first deceased donor liver transplant in Turkey was performed by Haberal and colleagues in 1988; in 2019, a total of 1776 livertransplant procedures were performed in Turkey. While these are well-known and documented facts, the scientific output of publications on liver transplantation from Turkey is unknown. This study aimed to analyze the contribution of Turkey in liver transplant global research. Publications from Turkey on liver transplantation were analyzed using the bibliometric study method. The following research parameters were analyzed: year of publication, institutions and authors, funding, themes, sample population, and methods. We used the Scopus database to research key words containing "liver" or "hepatic"and"transplantation" in the titles, abstracts, and key words. Among duplications or multiple results, only 1 publication was included in the study. Data were analyzed by quantitative and qualitative methods. We identified 45 763 publications on liver transplant. Most of the publications were in the field of medicine (93.48%). Turkey ranked fourteenth with 843 publications. The top productive affiliation was Başkent University, and the most productive author was Prof. Haberal. Among countries, Turkey had the most living donor liver transplants in 2019 and could serve as a modelto European countries for donor shortages. Although the United States performs 5 times more liver transplants than Turkey, their publications rate was almost 22 times more. Combining a workload of performing research and publishing along with transplant surgery is together hard to master. Although Turkey has valuable experiences and has opened frontiers in transplantation, publications need to keep up with their hard work and innovations.

Objectives: In this scientometric and quantitative study, the previous literature on the topic of Cytomegalovirus (CMV) in solid organ transplant (SOT) recipients was analysed. Our overarching goal was to explore the publications in this field and to identify research hotspots. Material and Methods: The Web of Science (WoS) database was utilized to research publications. The following terms were included in the search strategy syntax: "CMV" or "CMV infection" or "Cytomegalovirus" and "solid organ" or "hepatic" or "liver" or "pancreatic" or "lung" or "heart" or "transplantation" or "organ donation". Articles were selected as the document type. The complete text data of the included publications was retrieved from the WoS database. The VOSviewer (version 1.6.10, Leiden University, Netherlands) was used to do the bibliometric study in order to display the collaboration network, emphases, and future trends in the relevant topic. Results: 2432 results were reached from the Wos Core Collection. 1390 of them were articles. The USA was the top-ranked country (29.928%). Germany, Japan, England, and France (6.043%) were ranked in the first 5 countries. Turkey ranked 16th. 1351 (97.194%) of the publications were published in SCI-EXPANDED journals. The first article was published in the year 1971. 990 (71.87%) of the articles were published after 2000. The highest number of publications was in the year 2020 (4.892%). The H index of the articles was 100. There were a total of 45063 citations and an average of 32.42 per item. The number of citations and publications has increased over the last 30 years. The University of London was the top-ranked affiliation. Most of the articles (11.871%) were published in the journal "Transplantation Proceedings". Conclusions: The number of publications in this field is very low, especially for developing countries. The USA, Japan, and European countries are the countries with the highest number of publications.

Purpose: Achieving a pathological complete response (pCR) after neoadjuvant therapy in HER2-positive breast cancer patients is the most significant prognostic indicator, suggesting a low risk of recurrence and a survival advantage. This study aims to investigate clinicopathological parameters that can predict the response to neoadjuvant treatment in HER2 + breast cancers and to explore the roles of tumour-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs), CD8 + T lymphocytes and PD-L1 expression. Methods: This single-centre retrospective study was conducted with 85 HER2-positive breast cancer patients who underwent surgery after receiving neoadjuvant therapy between January 2017 and January 2020. Paraffin blocks from these patients were selected for immunohistochemical studies. Results: A complete pathological response to neoadjuvant treatment was determined in 39 (45.9%) patients. High Ki-67 index (> 30%), moderate to high TIL infiltration, PD-L1 positivity and high CD8 cell count (≥ 25) were significantly associated with pCR in univariate analyses (p: 0.023, 0.025, 0.017 and 0.003, respectively). Multivariate regression analysis identified high Ki-67 index (> 30%) and CD8 cell infiltration as independent predictors for pCR in HER2-positive breast cancer. Conclusions: High Ki-67 index, and high CD8 cell count are strong predictors for pCR in HER2-positive breast cancer. Tumours with high Ki-67 index, high TILs and CD8 infiltration may represent a subgroup where standard therapies are adequate. Conversely, those with low TILs and CD8 infiltration may identify a subgroup where use of novel strategies, including those that increase CD8 infiltration could be applied.

Cystic echinococcosis (CE), caused mainly by Echinococcus granulosus, is a parasitic disease common in Mediterranean countries such as Türkiye. Although it can occur anywhere in the body, it predominantly affects the liver. The disease is often asymptomatic; thus, cysts are often detected incidentally during imaging studies performed for other purposes.
