I am Ariel Villalón. I was born in Santiago, Chile, in 1979. I received the Doctor in Engineering Systems degree from Universidad de Talca, Chile in 2024, the Master of Science in New and Renewable Energy from Durham University, U.K. in 2012, and the B.Sc. in Forest Engineering degree from Universidad de Chile, Chile in 2008.
My research interests include renewable energy integration, predictive control, microgrids control, distributed generation, real-time simulation HIL and PHIL systems, and power grid and microgrids resilience.
