Information

He received the M.Sc. degree in physics from the Universidad de Granada, Granada, Spain, in 1987, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Universidad de Málaga (UMA), Málaga, Spain, in 2000. From 1988 to 1993 he was part of the engineering staff of the R&D Laboratory of the company FUJITSU ESPAÑA, based in Malaga, as a Junior Design Technician, as a member of its Microelectronics Group, I participated in several ASIC specification and design projects. Since 1993, he has been with the Departamento de Electrónica, UMA, where he is currently an Associate Professor. He was a founding member of the EIS Group (Electronics for Instrumentation and System (PAI-TIC182)) of the Junta de Andalucía. This group is integrated into the BioMedical Research Institute of Malaga (IBIMA) and since 2020 in the University Institute for Research in Mechatronics Engineering and Cyberphysical Systems (I3MSC). His current research interest include tactile sensors and actuators, sensor arrays, electronic conditioning and their applications to robotics and healthcare. He is also interested in issues related to teaching and learning electronics.
