Haissam Abou-Saleh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Qatar University. He obtained a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the Université de Montréal-Canada (2009) and pursued his postdoctoral training at Montreal Heart Institute-Canada and Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar. His research interests include nanomedicine, herbal medicine, and toxicological studies using cellular and animal models. Other areas of interest include cancer biology, thrombo-inflammatory reactions, hypertension, and vascular remodeling. His experimental approaches include molecular and pharmacological tools and clinically relevant animal models of cardiovascular diseases. He has more than 33 articles in his name in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
