Alberto Rodríguez is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Communications Engineering at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH). He received his long-term degree in Telecommunication Engineering (University of Vigo) in 1998. From 1999 to 2005, he worked in different companies and institutions in the telecommunications field: Spanish Air Force (1999), UNI2-France Telecom (2000-2001), RG Ingenieros (2001-2005). From 2001 to 2005, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Signal Theory and Communications Area of the UMH, and from 2005 to 2012 as a Collaborating Professor. He obtained his PhD from the Polytechnic University of Valencia in 2011, becoming a contract professor in 2012 in the same area, and Associate Professor in 2019. His most relevant merits in relation to his research work are the following: 16 publications in JCR indexed journals, in addition to 26 publications, among other articles in book chapters and conference proceedings. Participation as a researcher in 11 national competitive projects and two European projects. Participation in five research contracts with industry. His current research interests are time-to-frequency analysis for feature extraction in non-destructive ultrasonic testing, and biomedical and automotive data processing.
