Information

I obtained a degree in natural sciences from the University of Lausanne in 1975. After a PhD on plant pathogenic fungi, I studied microbial genetics in Lausanne and worked as a collaborating scientist at the University of Arizona, Tucson, at the Public Health Research Institute, New York, and at Ciba-Geigy, Basel, Switzerland. I was hired as a scientist to work in medical mycology at the Department of Dermatology of CHUV in 1998. My research activity, besides the diagnosis of cutaneous mycoses, focused on fungal secreted fungal proteases and the antifungal resistance of dermatophytes. I was appointed associate professor at the University of Lausanne in 2004.
