Prof. Bianchini Carlo

PhD in Survey and Representation of Built Heritage (1995), he is a full professor (SSD ICAR / 17 - Design) at Sapienza University of Rome. Since November 2016, he has been head of the Department of History, Design and Restoration of Architecture (DSDRA), and since January 2021, he has also held the position of Pro-Rector of Architectural Heritage at Sapienza University of Rome. He teaches Survey of Architecture and Science of Representation 2 in the Faculty of Architecture and, moreover, is a member of the Doctoral Commission in History, Design and Restoration of Architecture. He is on the scientific committees of several scientific journals and is currently director of "Disegnare, Idee Images", a magazine indexed by the ISI and class A according to ANVUR criteria. Author of over 100 scientific publications, his main research interests focus on Cultural Heritage (tangible, intangible), 2D / 3D Surveying and Modeling of built objects and, recently, on Virtual Museums and HBIM.
