Dr. Haibo Yuan graduated with a master’s degree in tea science from the School of Food Science and Engineering at Southwest University in 2003. He has worked at the Tea Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, since 2003. From 2012 to the present, he has served as deputy director and then director of the Tea Processing Engineering Research Center. Since 2024, he has been the head of the Tea Precision Processing Innovation Team. Dr. Haibo Yuan primarily researches tea processing technology and quality control. His current research areas include tea processing technology and equipment innovation, and specialty tea quality control and targeted processing. He has been recognized with honors such as Top Ten Young Scientific and Technological Talents in the Agricultural Products Processing Industry, Third Level Talents in the Zhejiang Province “151” Talent Program, and Outstanding Science and Technology Commissioner of Zhejiang Province.
