Fei Gao received Ph.D degree from Beihang University in 2005. From 2005, he was working as a research fellow at Beihang Division of National Automatic Target Recognition Lab. Currently, Dr. Gao is an associate professor of Beihang University. During 2018-2019, he is a visiting scholar of University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK. His research interests mainly include cognitive computation, biological-inspired signal processing, deep learning, machine learning, big date analysis in remote sensing and remote sensing image understanding, including target detection, classification, recognition, etc. He has published more than 60 technical papers in international journals and conference proceedings, e.g., IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, Neurocomputing, Cognitive Computation, Remote Sensing, Computational Intelligence And Neuroscience and Multidimensional Systems and Signal Processing. He was the best paper award nomination of one IEEE conference. He acted as the Program Committee for five international conferences. He also served as a reviewer for some international conferences (e.g., ICSP, BICS) and journals (e.g., IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, Cognitive Computation, IEEE Signal Processing Letters, IEEE Access, IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, IEEE Journa of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing,
