Hugo Groult (Orcid: 0000-0002-1571-9400) is a chemist who graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Lille in 2010, majoring in the area of pharmacochemistry of natural products. He received his PhD in 2015 and achieved a fellowship in CNIC (Madrid, Spain) with the reputable European Marie Curie FP7 program where he specialized in nanomedicine. In 2016, he moved as a post-doctoral researcher to the LIENSs laboratory (UMR 7266 CNRS, La Rochelle, France) where he gained new skills in the expertise of the BCBS team: biotechnology of natural sugars and enzymology of hydrolases. He set up a novel dynamic in nanomedicine that did not exist before at the University. His two specialty “hats” in nanomedicine and carbohydrate chemistry enabled him to get a researcher position at CNRS in 2020, where he proposed a unique project at the interface of these two fields. He is the author of 21 publications and 1 patent; he also gives specific lectures in nanomedicine at la Rochelle University.
