Marcello Fera graduated magna cum laude in Management Engineering in 2004 from Naples University "Federico II" and obtained a PhD in Mechanical Systems Engineering in 2008 at the same university. He has been an Associate Professor of Industrial Mechanical Systems Engineering from 2021 for the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli. He is author of more than 85 international papers. He is a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Industrial Engineering Computations, Cogent Engineering, and an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Interactive Design and Manufacturing. His main current research interest is in the sustainability of industrial systems and their supply chains, with particular attention to circular production tactics.
