Prof. Dr. Diego A. Vasco is a Professor at the University of Santiago, Chile. He received his chemical engineering degree from Universidad Nacional de Colombia in 2004 and his Master’s degree in chemistry from Universidad de Antioquia, Colombia in 2008. During this stage, his research topic was electrochemistry applied to the environmental remediation of soils. Later, he was awarded a scholarship for doctoral studies at Universidad de Santiago de Chile (USACH). In addition, he developed part of his thesis about parallel computing at the University of Graz, Austria. After receiving his Doctorate in 2013, he started an academic career in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at USACH. He researches thermal storage with phase change materials, nanofluids, and computational fluid dynamics using software based on the finite volume method.
