Neda Mimica-Dukić is a full professor at UNSPMF (University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Sciences, Novi Sad, Serbia). He holds aBSc in Chemistry (UNSPMF, 1978), an MSc and a PhD in Biochemistry (UNSPMF, 1987 and 1993). He works at UNSPMF (1979–1982, as a research assistant; 1982–1987, as a research associate; 1987–1993. as a teaching assistant; 1993–1998, as an assistant professor; 1998–2003, as an associate professor, 2003–present, as a full professor). His research interest include the characterization of bioactive natural products from medicinal, toxic and edible plants and fungi and the study of their biological activities, taxonomic importance, and factors influencing their production. He is a member of the Serbian Chemical Society, the Serbian Biochemical Society, the Society for Medicinal Plant Research (GA), the International Society of Horticultural Sciences. He received the award for scientific excellency and achieved results (Ministry of Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia, 2004), the Lifetime Achievement Award in the field of natural and mathematical sciences (Association of professors and researchers of Vojvodina, 2017), an award for scientific excellence (Provincial Secretariat for Higher Education and Scientific Research, 2021).
