A compact tree shape planar quad element Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna bearing a wide bandwidth for 5G communication operating in the millimeter-wave spectrum is proposed. The radiating element of the proposed design contains four different arcs to achieve the wide bandwidth response. Each radiating element is backed by a 1.57 mm thicker Rogers-5880 substrate material, having a loss tangent and relative dielectric constant of 0.0009 and 2.2, respectively. The measured impedance bandwidth of the proposed quad element MIMO antenna system based on 10 dB criterion is from 23 GHz to 40 GHz with a port isolation of greater than 20 dB. The measured radiation patterns are presented at 28 GHz, 33 GHz and 38 GHz with a maximum total gain of 10.58, 8.87 and 11.45 dB, respectively. The high gain of the proposed antenna further helps to overcome the atmospheric attenuations faced by the higher frequencies. In addition, the measured total efficiency of the proposed MIMO antenna is observed above 70% for the millimeter wave frequencies. Furthermore, the MIMO key performance metrics such as Mean Effective Gain (MEG) and Envelope Correlation Coefficient (ECC) are analyzed and found to conform to the required standard of MEG < 3 dB and ECC < 0.5. A prototype of the proposed quad element MIMO antenna system is fabricated and measured. The experimental results validate the simulation design process conducted with Computer Simulation Technology (CST) software.

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) implies that the human kidneys are harmed and unable to blood filter in the manner which they should. The disease is designated "chronic" in light of the fact that harm to human kidneys happen gradually over a significant time. This harm can make wastes to build up in your body. Many techniques and models have been developed to diagnos the CKD in early-stage. Among all techniques, Machine Learning (ML) techniques play a significant role in the early forecasting of different kinds ailments. ML techniques have been used for achieving analytical results which is one of the instruments utilize in medical analysis and prediction. In this paper, we employ experiential analysis of ML techniques for classifying the kidney patient dataset as CKD or NOTCKD. Seven ML techniques together with NBTree, J48, Support Vector Machine, Logistic Regression, Multi-layer Perceptron, Naïve Bayes, and Composite Hypercube on Iterated Random Projection (CHIRP) are utilized and assessed using distinctive evaluation measures such as mean absolute error (MAE), root mean squared error (RMSE), relative absolute error (RAE), root relative squared error (RRSE), recall, precision, F-measure and accuracy. The experimental outcomes accomplished of MAE are 0.0419 for NB, 0.035 for LR, 0.265 for MLP, 0.0229 for J48, 0.015 for SVM, 0.0158 for NBTree and 0.0025 for CHIRP. Moreover, experimental results using accuracy revealed 95.75% for NB, 96.50% for LR, 97.25% for MLP, 97.75% for J48, 98.25% for SVM, 98.75% for NBTree, and 99.75% for CHIRP. The overall outcomes show that CHIRP performs well in terms of diminishing error rates and improving accuracy.

This paper presents a novel design of a Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna system for next generation sub 6 GHz 5G and beyond mobile terminals. The proposed system is composed of a main board and two side boards. To make the design cost-effective, FR4 is used as a substrate. The design is based on a unit monopole antenna etched at the side substrate. The single element is resonating at 3.5 GHz attaining a 10 dB bandwidth of 200 MHz and a 6 dB bandwidth of 400 MHz. The single element is then transformed into an MIMO array of 8-elements with an overall dimension of 150 mm × 75 mm × 7 mm, providing pattern diversity characteristics and isolation better than −12 dB for any two radiating elements. A number of studies such as effects of human hand on the system that includes single hand mode and dual mode scenarios and the effects of Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) over the principal performance parameters of the system are presented. The envelop correlation coefficient (ECC) is computed for all the scenarios and it is found that ECC is less than 0.1 for any case and maximum channel capacity is 38.5 bps/Hz within the band of interest. The main advantage of the proposed design over available designs in the literature is that almost all of the main substrate is empty providing wide space for different sensors, systems, and mobile technology components. A brief literature comparison of the proposed system is also presented. To validate the proposed model, a prototype is fabricated and results are presented. This design can be applied on higher frequencies to future micromachines for on chip communications using same theocratical approach as the space for higher frequencies in mmwave spectrum has been reserved. The simulated results are in an excellent agreement with the measured results. All the main performance parameters of the design are calculated and compared with the measured results wherever possible.

In this work, a new Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna system with a novel shape inspired by nature is proposed for Fifth-Generation (5G) communication systems. The antenna is designed on a Rogers 5880. The dielectric constant of the substrate is 2.2, and the loss tangent is assumed to be 0.0009. The gain of the system for the desired bandwidth is nearly 8 dB. The simulated and the measured efficiency of the proposed system is 95% and 80%, respectively. To demonstrate the capability of the system as a potential candidate for future 5G communication devices, MIMO key performance parameters such as the Envelope Correlation Coefficient (ECC) and Diversity Gain (DG) are computed. It is found that the proposed system has low ECC, constant DG, and high efficiency for the desired bandwidth.

The next-generation Internet of vehicles (IoVs) seamlessly connects humans, vehicles, roadside units (RSUs), and service platforms, to improve road safety, enhance transit efficiency, and deliver comfort while conserving the environment. Currently, numerous entities communicate in the IoVs environment via insecure public channels that are susceptible to a variety of security assaults and threats. To address these security challenges, we design an anonymous authenticated key exchange mechanism for the IoVs in smart transportation supported by blockchain, referred to as AAKE-BIVT. AAKE-BIVT securely transmits traffic information to a cluster head, before heading to a nearby RSU utilizing the established secret session keys via mutual authentication and key agreement. A cloud server (CS) then securely aggregates data from related RSUs and generates transactions. The CS combines the transactions into blocks in a peer-to-peer network of CSs, and the blocks are confirmed and added to the blockchain via a voting-based consensus method. By means of rigorous informal security studies and formal security analysis through the random oracle model, we reveal that the proposed AAKE-BIVT is resistant to a broad range of potential security assaults in the IoVs environment. Furthermore, a comparative study reveals that AAKE-BIVT outperforms existing state-of-the-art techniques, in terms of security and functionality while being more efficient in terms of communication and computation. Additionally, the blockchain simulation validates the implementation viability of our proposed AAKE-BIVT.

To meet the ever-growing traffic demand and address the cell capacity shortage problem, associating end users to various tiers of cells in a multi-tier cellular network appears as a promising approach. In this paper, we consider a non-uniform heterogeneous cellular network (NuHCN) and propose a cell association scheme which selectively mutes certain small-cell base stations (BSs) and covers end users by cell range extension (via cell biasing) for achieving load balancing. The envisaged NuHCN is comprised of two tiers of BSs, i.e., macro- and small-cell BSs, deployed according to three independent homogeneous Poisson point processes for BSs and end users respectively. Accordingly, the available space is divided into two subspaces. In the inner subspace, the end users are associated only with a macro-cell BS based on the unbiased maximum received power scheme since the small-cell BSs therein are deactivated. In the outer subspace, where the macro-cell BS coverage is comparatively poor, the end users are associated with either a macro-cell BS or a micro-cell BS based on the biased/unbiased maximum received power scheme. Cell range extension based cell association allows the macro-cell users in the outer subspace to efficiently utilize the resources of the lightly loaded small-cell BSs, resulting in improved network coverage and capacity. Based on the proposed cell association scheme, we analyze the signal-to-interference plus noise ratio distribution and deduce expressions for coverage probability and rate coverage. Numerical results show that, contrary to the uniform case, biasing has distinct effects on the coverage and rate performance of a NuHCN.
