Roberto Marani is an Electronics Engineer (B.E. 2006, M.S. 2008, Ph.D. 2012). Since 2012 he works at the CNR-STIIMA where he cooperates with the Intelligent Sensing and Perception Group, and, since July 2018, he is a permanent staff Researcher. His research activities include the design and implementation of hardware and software for autonomous intelligent systems. His studies in electronics, optics, computer vision, machine learning, pattern recognition, and deep learning affect several application fields, ranging from quality control in industrial production processes, precision agriculture, robotics, geology, archaeology, reverse engineering, and video surveillance. He is the author of more than 120 scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals and 60 proceedings of international conferences.
