Prof. Florin Oancea

Prof. Dr. Florin Oancea currently serves as the Scientific Director of the National Institute for Research & Development in Chemistry and Petrochemistry (ICECHIM). He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Biochemistry from the Universitatea din București. He obtained his Ph.D. in Phytopathology-Plant Protection from the Academia de Stiinte Agricole si Silvice Gheorghe Ionescu-Sisesti. He is habilitated at Universitatea de Științe Agronomice și Medicină Veterinară, Bucuresti. His research interests include plant biostimulants, microbial and plant biosynthetized nanoparticles, nanocellulose, chitin/chitosan and nanochitin/nanochitosan, alginate, stimuli-responsive nanoformulations, multifunctional nanosystems and circular bioeconomy.
