Jean-Michel Clairand was born in Quito, Ecuador in 1990. He received the electronic bachelor degree and master in Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Electronique et Ses Applications (ENSEA), in Cergy, France, in 2012 and 2014 respectively. He obtained the Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering in Universitat Politècnica de Valencia, Spain in 2018. He made an international visit at University of Waterloo in 2018. He is assistant professor at Universidad de las Américas - Ecuador since 2018, and visiting researcher in Università degli studi di Bari Aldo Moro in 2019. His area of interests is related to electric vehicles, smart grids, and energy efficiency.
