PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University Carlos III of Madrid, Spain (2018). BS in Chemistry from the University of Jaén, Spain (2012). Accreditation of Assistant Professor Doctor from the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation of Spain (ANECA), 2018.
My doctoral thesis was focused on Modified Titanium Surfaces for Biomedical Applications and I received Cum Laude with "International PhD Thesis" mention. I was awarded with the Keynote Paper Award 2017 by the European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA). I have been working as a visiting researcher in two different research institutes abroad, Portugal and Germany.
My research is related to the development, processing and characterization of advanced materials with improved properties by Additive Manufacturing (AM) technologies like L-PBF and DED-wire; with special focus on the Powder Metallurgy sector.
As Coordinator of the Advanced Materials Department at the Technology Centre of Metal-mechanical and Transport (CETEMET) in Spain, I have been the Principal Investigator of a competitive national Torres Quevedo (2021-2024) in metallic multimaterials. I lead R&D projects related to metal additive manufacturing and new multi-material structures.
Main author of 13 scientific articles and co-author of 7 more. I am one of the editors of the Open Access Book entitled “A Guide to Additive Manufacturing”, and I have also contributed to more than 25 national and international conferences.
