Maria E Street graduated in Medicine at the University of Parma in 1992, qualified as a pediatrician in 1996, and earned her PhD in pediatric gastro-endocrinology in 2000. In 2004, she obtained a Master's Diploma in “Management of Endocrine and nutritional Disorders”. She worked as research fellow in 1994, 1997, 1998, and 1999 in London, St Bartholomew’s Hospital, Depts of Endocrinology, Division of Paediatric Endocrinology and Growth Factor Laboratory. 2014–2021 she was director of the Division of Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetology of AUSL—IRCCS, Reggio Emilia,and of the Research Laboratory. She has participated and supervised National and International research projects, presented at National and International Meetings, tutored thesis for master's and graduate degrees. She is the Associate Professor of paediatrics at the University of Parma since 2023, and she is head of Paediatric Endocrinology at the University Hospital in Parma, Italy. She is an author of many research papers in international peer-reviewed journals, has an active role in the Italian Society for Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetology. She is member of the Clinical Practice Committee of the European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology, part of the EDC interest group and of the Endocompass roadmap project with ESE; vice director of the Permanent Monitoring Panel Environment & Health Ettore Majorana Foundation, Erice, Italy.
