Maria Adamo received a Laurea degree in Physics and an M.S. degree in Remote Sensing from the University of Bari, Italy, in 2002 and 2003, respectively. She received a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Bari, in 2009.
Since 2004, she has been a Research Scientist at the National Research Council of Italy, Institute of Intelligent Systems for Automation and Institute of Atmospheric Pollution.
Her scientific interests include satellite remote sensing algorithms and methods for environmental monitoring, with applications in marine oil-pollution monitoring, retrieval of bio-geo-physical parameters of aquatic ecosystems, land cover and habitat mapping, and ecosystem monitoring.
