Natural fiber‐reinforced composites have emerged as a promising alternative in various industries, including automotive, aerospace, construction, and civil engineering, owing to their eco‐friendly nature and favorable mechanical properties. However, challenges such as low thermal stability and high moisture absorption limit their widespread use. To overcome these limitations, surface modifications such as mercerization, benzoylation, silane treatment, and acetylation have been extensively explored. Hybrid composites (HCs), combining natural and synthetic fibers, offer a compelling solution by harnessing the unique properties of both materials. This review comprehensively examines the types of fibers and polymers utilized in HCs, along with various chemical treatments to enhance their properties. Additionally, a detailed analysis of different manufacturing processes for HCs is provided, including hand lay‐up, vacuum‐assisted resin transfer molding, autoclave molding, injection molding, and compression molding. Furthermore, this review highlights recent advancements in HCs and their applications. Significant outcomes include a deeper understanding of the synergistic effects between natural and synthetic fibers, improved mechanical and thermal properties, and enhanced applications in diverse industries. The potential of HCs as a sustainable and high‐performance material solution emphasizes the importance of ongoing research and innovation in this field to overcome existing challenges and unlock new possibilities for composite engineering. Highlights: Surface modifications such as mercerization, benzoylation, and silane treatment enhance the properties of natural fibers in composite materials. Hybrid composites (HCs) offer unique advantages by combining natural and synthetic fibers, including improved thermal, mechanical, and damping properties. Various chemical treatments and manufacturing processes contribute to enhancing the properties and applications of HCs. Recent advancements in HCs have led to an improved understanding and utilization of composite engineering across multiple industries. The review discusses challenges, opportunities, and future prospects for HCs, emphasizing the need for ongoing research and innovation in this field.

Multi-functional textiles have become a growing trend among smart customers who dream of having multiple functionalities in a single product. Thus, this study aimed to develop a multi-functional textile from a common textile substrate like cotton equipped with electrically conductive, anti-bacterial, and flame-retardant properties. Herein, a bunch of compounds from various sources like petro-based poly-aniline (PANI), phosphoric acid (H3PO4), inorganic silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs), and biomass-sourced fish scale protein (FSP) were used. The coating was prepared via in-situ polymerization of PANI with the cotton substrate, followed by the dipping in AGNPs solution, layer-by-layer deposition of FSP and sodium alginate, and finally, a dip-dry-cure technique after immersing the modified cotton substrate into the H3PO4 and citric acid solution. The key results indicated that the fabric treated with PANI/Ag-NPs/FSP/P-compound exhibited a balanced improvement in all three desired properties as the electrical resistance was reduced by 44.44 % while showing superior bacterial inhibition against gram-positive bacteria (S. aureus) and gram-negative bacteria (E. coli), and produced dense-black carbonaceous char residues, indicating its flame retardant properties as well. Thus, such amicable developments made the cotton textile substrate a multi-functional textile, which showed potential to be used in medical textiles, wearable electronics, fire-fighter suits, etc.

Apparel stores always have to develop their system to survive in the market. Attracting new customers and satisfying the running customers are the necessity for continuing the business. In this regard, retailers design new techniques and gradually reshape it for adopting a competitive market. Visual merchandising is one of the philosophies where retailers are not only presenting their products but also attracting new customers outside the windows. There are a lot of elements in visual merchandising, but its significance varies from region to region. In this study, we considered the local apparel stores for finding the visual merchandising elements and also analyzing which elements are satisfied more for buying a new product in Chittagong. The result of the study showed what are the noteworthy key attributes of visual merchandising affecting consumers buying behavior in that region.

Nanocomposite (NC) hydrogel (HG) sensors have emerged as a transformative innovation in wearable healthcare monitoring systems. By incorporating carbon-based, metal-based, and polymer-based NCs, these sensors offer exceptional properties such as biocompatibility, flexibility, high water content, and stretchability—making them highly suitable for continuous, real-time physiological monitoring. Advanced fabrication techniques, including in situ polymerization, conformal coating, and dynamic crosslinking, significantly enhance their functional performance and scalability for practical deployment. The mechanical robustness and electrical responsiveness of these NC HGs, coupled with self-healing capabilities, strong adhesion to skin, and resistance to environmental stressors, ensure their reliability and durability in diverse healthcare applications. These HG sensors have shown great promise in monitoring vital signs, managing chronic conditions, supporting rehabilitation, enabling real-time glucose monitoring, and facilitating wound healing. Despite their considerable potential, several challenges remain—particularly in technical optimization, user comfort and integration, and regulatory approval—that must be addressed to enable their widespread adoption. This review highlights recent innovations, material properties, and healthcare applications of NC HG sensors and discusses the critical challenges that must be overcome to fully realize their impact as wearable textile materials in modern healthcare systems.
