Researcher with an interdisciplinary background in Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, currently a PhD candidate at the University of Aveiro, integrated into TEMA – Centre for Mechanical Technology and Automation. Her research focuses on the development, modeling, and characterization of advanced sensors and transducers based on piezoelectrets and magneto-piezoelectrets. She serves as Associate Professor IV at the Federal Institute of Bahia (IFBA), Brazil, with over 15 years of experience in higher education, including teaching, student supervision, and academic management. She stands out for leading research groups and supervising undergraduate research projects, contributing to the training of human resources in engineering and technology. She has scientific publications in indexed international journals, including IEEE Sensors Journal, IEEE Transactions on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation, and Polymers, with work in the fields of smart sensors, magneto-piezoelectric transducers, and electromagnetic compatibility. She is currently involved in applied research projects under the “ATE – Alliance for Energy Transition” (PRR) agenda, in collaboration with EFACEC, focusing on the development of solutions for energy systems and infrastructure monitoring.
She is a member of IEEE and serves as a Counselor for IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE), promoting participation of women in STEM fields, integrating research, teaching, and industry collaboration.
