Telemedicine ensures quality, cost-effective, and equally accessible healthcare services for everyone. Nonetheless, a poor usage rate could curb its progression in developing cultures like Bangladesh. Therefore, this research examines how external stimuli promote the continuous usage intentions of synchronous telemedicine services through engagement and satisfaction by deploying the stimulus-organism-response framework. A final sample of 312 telemedicine users was analyzed using the structural equation modeling in AMOS. The average age of the participants was 26.28 (std. deviation 5.53), and their average use of telemedicine was 2.39 times (std. deviation 1.31) over the last six months. This study empirically endorsed that the stimuli, including performance expectancy, information quality, and contamination avoidance, as well as organismic factors such as engagement and satisfaction, directly impacted the continuance desires for telemedicine use. In addition, the analyses validated the mediation roles of engagement and satisfaction. Furthermore, performance and effort expectancies influenced engagement, which affected satisfaction along with performance expectancy, functionality, and information quality. Accordingly, telemedicine facilitators should integrate these critical attributes into the system to sustain engagement, satisfaction, and usage intentions. This study has pioneered the effects of performance and effort expectancies on continuous usage intentions facilitated by engagement and satisfaction in the telemedicine landscape.

Because healthcare systems in developing nations are underfunded and unequal, practitioners must understand how telemedicine may be widely introduced and sustained. Unfortunately, telemedicine adoption receives less attention and there is limited knowledge regarding the interfering influence of patient engagement, satisfaction, and individual innovativeness. Consequentially, the current study seeks to investigate the factors that influence patients’ behavioral intentions toward telemedicine, while acknowledging engagement and satisfaction as mediators and personal innovativeness as a moderator. A questionnaire instrument was used to reach telemedicine users in Bangladesh, and finally, 305 samples were curated and explored applying structural equation modeling in AMOS software. The empirical results show that information quality, performance expectancy, engagement, and satisfaction are strong stimulators of behavioral intention toward telemedicine, whereas functionality, information quality, and performance expectancy drive satisfaction and engagement. One of the worthy findings of this study is that engagement and satisfaction play a significant mediating function, while personal innovativeness plays a moderating role, in influencing behavioral intention toward telemedicine. Confirming engagement and satisfaction as mediators and innovativeness as a moderator adds originality to this research, and overall will help to reduce healthcare bias prejudice among marginalized people in developing countries like Bangladesh.

This study aims to explore the impact of job stress on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) among university teachers in Bangladesh along with the mediating effect of occupational commitment (OC) on this relationship. An online questionnaire survey using the Google form was conducted to collect data from respondents. 244 valid samples were analyzed using bivariate correlation and regression analyses. The results of hierarchical regression analyses reveal that job stress is negatively and significantly linked to OC when controlling for demographic variables, such as age, gender, educational qualification, type of university, designation, and teaching experience; surprisingly, it has no significant effect on OCB. However, OC is positively related to OCB. Also, the OC has a full mediating influence on the linkage between job stress and OCB. With the support of mediation test, this study suggests OC as a personal resource and mechanism to better manage teacher job stress and improve OCB. Detailed implications and contributions have been discussed in the previous sections.

Purpose: This study investigates the factors influencing the trialability and behavioral intentions toward Digital Yuan, also known as e-CNY, which is the first central bank digital currency (CBDC) in China. The present research also examines the mediating effect of attitude and the moderating effects of perceived trust and self-efficacy in the model. Design/methodology/approach: This paper is embedded in the diffusion of innovation (DOI) theory, which was again supplemented by the UTAUT2 and the theory of planned behavior (TPB). We collected data using a self-administered structured questionnaire and examined 289 valid samples using a structural equation model. Findings: The results indicate that compatibility, observability and effort expectancy significantly influence trialability, which in turn significantly impacts the attitudes of e-CNY users. Together, price value and attitudes considerably impact behavioral intentions toward e-CNY. In addition, attitudes significantly mediate between trialability and behavioral intentions and the relationship between attitude and behavioral intention is moderated by perceived trust. Practical implications: This study will help FinTech regulators and practitioners broaden their knowledge base around CBDCs, subsequently assisting them in crafting precise strategies for fostering e-CNY acceptance. Originality/value: The uniqueness of this study lies in its simultaneous examination of the factors affecting trialability, attitude and behavioral intention about CBDCs.

Covid-19 pandemic has been a catalyst for mandatory use of technology to deliver class room learning to students who have been forced to Learn From Home (LFH). Learn From Home requires Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) method if students are to be satisfied with online delivery of lessons. Technology Enhanced Learning is used to describe the integration of technology to teaching and learning; the demand for Technology Enhanced Learning has been increased as a result of the lockdown. The study explores various online teaching platforms, techniques, online examination, and Technology Enhanced Learning methods needed to be used by university instructors to ensure that educating the students goes on unhindered. The identified variables were empirically tested with the aid of a structured questionnaire. The study concludes that there is a positive relationship between satisfaction with the delivery of online study and the perceived effectiveness of TEL among higher education students.
