Dr. Hector Rafael Siller is an Educator and Researcher with experience in fundamental research, administration of academic programs, teaching, and applied and industry-funded research. He is an Associate Chair and Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of North Texas (2017-present); previously, he was the Director of the Master of Science in Manufacturing Systems program (2014-2017) and the Automotive Engineering program at Monterrey Tech (2010-2014) and a Full-Time Faculty Member at the same university (2010-2017). He holds a Ph.D. in Technology Innovation from the Department of Industrial Systems Engineering and Design at Jaume I University in Spain (2008) and a Master's degree and Bachelor’s degree from Tecnologico de Monterrey in the fields of Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering, respectively (1999 and 2003). His research areas include advanced manufacturing processes, additive manufacturing, micromanufacturing, and metrology.
