Novais. S is a Biomedical Engineering graduate who obtained her Ph.D. degree in Physics Engineering (Optics and Photonics) from Aveiro University, Portugal, in February 2019, on optical fiber sensors for challenging media. Since April 2019, she has been working as an Assistant Researcher at the Center for Applied Photonics at INESC TEC. She has a strong publication, with more than 60 papers in international journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings. Additionally, she serves as a reviewer for international scientific journals, including those from Springer, IEEE, and Elsevier.
Her current research interest is in developing novel optical fiber sensors for biomedical and environmental monitoring applications.
