The study of the mechanisms underlying the perception of visual information, as well as the speed and adequacy of its processing, is of practical interest to martial artists. This study aims to develop and validate a methodology for assessing spatial perception in martial arts. It involved 57 participants practicing taekwondo, representing various age groups and skill levels (age: 18.6 years, SD = 3.52; qualifications: 8th Gup to 1st Dan). At the first stage of the research, the newly developed “Spatial Perception” application was preliminarily tested to determine its reliability and validity. In the second stage, the specific features of spatial perception among martial artists of different ages and qualifications were examined. The findings indicate that the rotation of objects provides additional information for object recognition, which reduces reaction time and the number of errors in response selection. The speed of processing dynamic visual cues reflects athletes’ psychophysiological capabilities, which are crucial during competitive bouts. Adult, qualified martial artists with relevant competitive experience possess a greater volume of visual images, which reduces the time of their spatial perception, thus confirming the hypothesis proposed in this study. Athletes at this level can maintain focus on objects and are less affected by distracting visual stimuli. The results obtained may assist martial arts coaches in improving the monitoring of athletes’ functional states and optimizing training processes.

The present paper is dedicated to developing advanced vocabulary skills in English. Mastering vocabulary is paramount for English language learners who strive for fluent and accurate communication. This article examines the importance of advanced vocabulary skills for language acquisition and the challenges of students’ vocabulary development. Based on current research results from prominent scientists, the article summarizes insights into effective techniques for developing advanced vocabulary skills. The study highlights the diverse role of vocabulary in language mastery and its impact on academic and professional success. It highlights the importance of tailored strategies for vocabulary teaching, including contextual learning, semantic mapping, morphological awareness, incidental learning, and vocabulary games and activities. Additionally, the article examines cutting-edge technology-enhanced vocabulary learning strategies, such as online resources, mobile applications, and adaptive learning platforms, designed to improve students’ vocabulary proficiency. Through a comprehensive review of the literature and analysis of current research, the article explains the challenges of vocabulary acquisition and the need for further investigation of its dimensions, reasons, and consequences. It emphasizes the need for educators to employ effective techniques that facilitate the development of advanced vocabulary skills in English language students. In summary, recognizing the importance of vocabulary in language acquisition and adopting innovative strategies for vocabulary development are essential steps to enable students to realize the full potential of language, promote academic and professional excellence, and embark on a journey of lifelong learning and personal growth.

The study of mechanisms underlying the perception of visual information, the speed and adequacy of its processing, is of practical interest to martial artists. The study aims to develop and validate a methodology for assessing spatial perception in martial arts. It involved 57 participants practising Taekwon-Do, representing various age groups and skill levels (age: 18.6 years, SD=3.52; qualifications: 8th Gup to 1st Dan). At the first stage of the research, the newly developed “Spatial Perception” application was preliminarily tested to determine its reliability and validity. The findings indicate the rotation of objects provides additional information for object recognition, which reduces reaction time and the number of errors in response selection. The speed of processing dynamic visual cues reflects athlete’s psychophysiological capabilities, which are crucial during competitive bouts. Experienced martial artists possess a larger repertoire of visual samples and images, enabling them to formulate effective responses to unexpected situations during combat. Athletes at this level can maintain focus on objects and are less affected by dis-tracting visual stimuli. The results obtained may assist martial arts coaches in improving the monitoring of athletes’ functional states and optimizing training processes.
