Dr. Aitor J. Garrido received a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics in 1999, a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering in 2001, and a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering and Automation in 2003 from the University of the Basque Country. Since 2000, he has held various teaching and research positions at UPV/EHU and is currently working as a full professor in the Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering. His main research area is in the control of dynamic systems, in particular, the control of ocean energy, nuclear fusion, and biological systems.
