Information

I’ve been involved in Earth and Environmental studies specifically solving the environmental problems using space-based technologies and climate modeling. I’m interested on cross cutting activities related to atmosphere-land surface exchange processes (surface water, energy, carbon fluxes etc.), carbon cycling modeling, application areas in agriculture, forest and natural resources monitoring and assessment, and climate change. Currently, I'm involved in various funded projects (DST-SERB, SAC, UGC) on climate- vegetation/Agriculture interactions in India (details under Funded Projects). Prior to undertaking projects in India, I was involved in two international projects as a member. 1) Detection and Attribution of Rapid Large-scale Shifts in the Terrestrial Carbon Cycle. (UCLA, Los Angeles and University of Leeds, U.K) funded by NASA, USA. 2) Detection of Drought-Prone Areas in Iloilo, Philippines. (Asian Inst. of Tech. (AIT), Bangkok) funded by JAXA, JAPAN.
