Prof. Dr. Chunyu Ding received his Ph.D. degree in astronomy from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, in 2017. He has been an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Advanced Study, Shenzhen University, Shenzhen, China, since 2021. He is a Core Scientific Member of the Chinese Chang’E-4 Mission and is also involved in the team on the radar group of the Chinese First Mars Mission, Tianwen-1. His research interests include the radar detection of terrestrial planets and the surface evolution of terrestrial bodies in the solar system, e.g., the Moon and Mars.
