João Reis is a Professor of Service Science, Operations Management, and Supply Chain Management. He obtained his doctorate degrees in Industrial Engineering and Political Science from the University of Aveiro and Military Sciences from the Military University Institute (Portugal). In recent years, he has conducted scientific research in Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence, and Service Robots. He is a research fellow at the Research Unit on Governance, Competitiveness, and Public Policy (GOVCOPP) and the Research Centre for Asset Management and Systems Engineering (RCM2+). In addition to the roles above, he also serves as a faculty member at the Portuguese Military Academy, where he conducts scholarly research in Political-Military Affairs, specifically focusing on Gender Studies, Defense Industry, and Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP).
