Mohamed Bassyouni is Professor of Chemical Engineering at Port Said University. He served as the Director of Energy Research and Studies Center at Port Said University. He is the Co-Founder and Chairman of the Center of Excellence for Membrane Testing and Characterization (CEMTC). He is a coordinator of the Port Said University Ranking Committee. He has served as the Natural Gas Engineering Program coordinator since 2019. From 2010 to 2017, he served as the head of the Chemical and Materials Engineering Department at KAU. He also served as director of the industrial training unit. He is adjunct professor at Zewail City of Science & Technology and British University in Egypt. He completed a postdoctoral at TU-Clausthal, Germany, in polymer processing. He received his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering, Cairo University. He is a guest editor in Polymers Journal and Frontiers in Sustainability journal. He is a member of the editorial board of the International Institute of Chemical, Biological and Environmental Engineering and the journal of Engineering, Port Said University. He has experience in polymer composites and their applications with emphasis on nanocomposites, bio-composites, using recyclable materials in favor of environmental sustainability and water treatment. He is the author of several articles published in international journals and conferences. He is the co-author of three books in the area of polymers and petroleum engineering.
