Dr. Jiying Liu is now a professor at Shandong Jianzhu University, China. He received his Ph.D. degree in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning from Southwest Jiaotong University in 2013. He worked with Prof. Jelena Srebric as a joint PhD student in the Department of Architectural Engineering, the Pennsylvania State University, USA (2009-2013), as a postdoctoral research associate at the Pennsylvania State University, USA (2013-2014), as a visiting scholar at the University of Maryland, USA (2018-2019) and Tianjin University (2023-2024). His research interests are indoor/outdoor environment and healthy building, radiant heating and cooling systems, urban energy use, and regional integrated energy systems. He participated the ASHRAE project (1596-RP) entitled “Ventilation and Indoor Air Quality in Retail Stores”, and the National Science Foundation (EFRI-SEED 1038264) project entitled “Creating Opportunities for Adaptation Based on PULSE Population in Urban Landscape for Sustainable Built Environments” when he worked in the USA. Now, he is undertaking more than 10 national and provincial-level scientific research projects, including the National Key Research and Development Program of China (2024YFE0106800), National Natural Science Foundation of China (51608310) and Shandong Provincial Natural Science Foundation (ZR2021ME199). He has published more than 140 journal papers (Scopus H index = 24, Google Scholar H index = 26), with an SCI of more than 70 papers.
