Dr Matteo Briguglio is the Head of the Laboratory of Nutritional Sciences at IRCCS Galeazzi—Sant’Ambrogio hospital in Milan, Italy. He completed his PhD studies in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Milan and earned, from the same university, a previous BSc in Food Science and Technology, a BSc in Dietetics, and a PGCert in Clinical Research. He also earned an MSc in Neurobiology at the University of Turin, a PGDip first level in Nutraceuticals at the University of Bologna, and a PGDip second level in Machine Learning at the University of Padua. He is the PI of several observational and experimental studies on orthopaedic surgery patients, providing evidence to define the best perioperative nutritional care to enhance recovery after surgery. His interests include nutritional prehabilitation and orthopaedic surgery.
