Dr. Prof. Chao Mi currently holds the position of professor-level senior engineer and doctoral supervisor at the Logistics Engineering College of Shanghai Maritime University. In 2018, he invested in the establishment of Shanghai Haizhu Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., where he concurrently serves as the general manager. He earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical and electronic engineering from Shanghai Maritime University in 2007, a master's degree in mechanical and electronic engineering from the same university in 2010, and a PhD in management science and engineering (shipping logistics information processing theory and engineering technology) from Shanghai Maritime University in 2019. He is an IEEE Senior Member, a member of the Science and Technology Innovation Industry Promotion Professional Committee of the China Creativity Society, a member of the China Engineering Machinery Society Youth Work Committee, and has received several awards, including the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Third Prize (twice), the China Port Association Science and Technology Progress Second Prize, and the Gold Award at the Singapore International Maritime Awards for the Next Generation Container Port Challenge, with a prize of USD 1 million.
