At present, the distribution area of Fraxinus excelsior L. in the forest ecosystems of the Volga Region is rather low and ranges from 0.01% to 2.5%. In the Middle Volga Region, using the example of the Penza region, five types of deciduous forests were identified in the composition with Fraxinus excelsior L.: oak forest aegopodium, oak forest nettle, oak forest hazel-linden, oak forest aegopodium-motley grass, oak forest carex-motley grass. In the forest phytocenoses of the Moksha River basin, the quality of Fraxinus excelsior L. is 1.5–1.7. In the forest phytocenoses of the Khoper River basin, the average quality value reaches 2.4–2.8, and in the forest tracts of the Sura river basin it is 2.8–3.2. In the western part of the study area, individuals of age class II–III (21–40, 41–60 years) predominate, in the central part—age class I (1–20 years), in the eastern part—age class V (81–100 years). This circumstance allows us to conclude that its populations in the western regions are represented by stands of different ages; the presence of young stands and middle-aged stands indicates the presence of conditions for reproduction and distribution. At the border of its range, Fraxinus excelsior L. grows in a stable population; in the western part of the Middle Volga Region, the number of species in forest stands with a predominance of Fraxinus excelsior L. is 26–30% higher than this indicator in more eastern regions. In the direction from east to west, the number of species in the composition of forest stands increases (up to 8.4), with a predominance of Fraxinus excelsior L. The number of plant associations increases in the direction from east to west. If in the east of the Penza region Fraxinus excelsior L. occurs in 6–7 plant associations, then in the west of the region—in 18–25 associations. The maximum timber stock for 100 years of Fraxinus excelsior L. stands reaches 380 m3/ha. Such a natural bioresource potential is of importance for the conduct of the national economy. Forest management in phytocenoses with the participation of this tree species is a strategic branch direction. It is expedient to restore populations of Fraxinus excelsior L. everywhere and to cultivate them in the territory of the East European Plain and especially in its south-eastern part. This is fully consistent with the principles of sustainable ecological and economic development against the background of local natural, climatic and geographical conditions. This type is necessary when solving environmental, resource-saving and economic problems in the territory under consideration.

This article presents the results of research on the use of a new granular organomineral fertilizer for growing plants of half-highbush cultivars of the lowbush blueberry (Vaccinium angustifolium Ait.). The purpose of the research is studying the effect of a new granular organomineral fertilizer on the agrobiological characteristics of V. angustifolium plants on a peatland in the conditions of the north of the European part of Russia. The developed composition of organomineral fertilizer (NPK 8:8:8, Fe 0.5%, Zn 0.2%, Cu 0.4%) differs from existing fertilizers in a more balanced ratio of micro- and macroelements and the content of vermicompost containing spore forms of bacteria Bacillus subtilis H-13, B. mucilaginosus, and Azotobacter chroococcum. The use of a new organomineral fertilizer on high-moor peat (pH 2.9) contributed to the highest yield of V. angustifolium fruits (190.2 g/bush), which is 1.2 times more than other mineral fertilizers (NPK, etc.). The best morphophysiological indicators of V. angustifolium plants (leaf area, total and working surface of the roots, root weight) when using the developed organomineral fertilizer were noted in September. An increase of 1.2–1.3 times in the collection of dry matter and sugars in fruits was revealed, compared with other fertilizer options, while the vitamin C content practically did not change. New organomineral fertilizer contributes to the optimal supply of the necessary micro- and macroelements throughout the growing season and increases the productivity of V. angustifolium plants when growing depleted peat deposits in the natural and climatic conditions of the European part of Russia.

The research goal is to analyze the data on the organization and level of improvement of playgrounds with an inclusive component located on the territory of three large multifunctional parks in Moscow received from respondents to develop guidelines for organizing children’s inclusive playgrounds in large cities. The current research relevance is due to the fact that in Russia, until recently, children with health limitations were isolated from communication with peers and other people due to the fact that in society they were perceived as children with special needs. Therefore, it was believed that such joint communication is harmful to their health and development, and such children should be under constant supervision and attention from parents, guardians, and professionals. In connection with the mentioned opinion, they attempted to isolate children with disabilities from society, place them in special institutions, and teach in correctional schools. By virtue of rich global experience, this position has changed in Russia, and this category of children, now gradually transferred to ordinary schools with an inclusive component, has ample opportunities to develop both physically and psycho-emotionally, along with normally developed children. The research tasks include studying the organization of playgrounds intended for children’s recreation in such a way that all features of the psychological and physical condition of children with health limitations are fully taken into consideration. The possibility of the joint stay of children with normal development and children with health limitations within the same playground and their joint cognitive activity and various activities is also studied by means of conducting a survey. With the help of the developed questionnaires and visual material for children, a survey method is applied, implying surveying children, their parents, and guardians. The survey is conducted on the territory of children’s inclusive playgrounds in three large park areas of the city of Moscow. The survey goal is to study the psycho-emotional impact of landscape factors, urban greening, and the level of improvement, design, and construction of inclusive playground equipment on children with health limitations through outdoor games. The research results can be applied in practice in the organization and improvement of new inclusive playgrounds in city parks. Simultaneously, one should take into consideration their accessibility for people with limited mobility and the safety of structures and equipment.

The paper presents issues of optimizing the technology of growing popular terry varieties of clematis (Clematis L.) in Russia. Trimming groups, bookmark features of flower buds are described. The issues of reproduction and agricultural technology when laying uterine plantations are considered. A comparative analysis of traditional breeding technology with innovative technology (in vitro). The optimal nutrient medium for the stages of micro propagation, cultivation and rooting, enriched with vitamins and other substances. In experiments on green cuttings, 8 terry varieties were used. Estimated rooting of green cuttings by standard propagation technology. Spring cuttings are recommended for the varieties Bellof Woking (83%), Empress (81%), Blue Light (79%) and give a high yield of planting material from one mother plant. Two varieties with low rooting were selected—Purpurea Plena Elegans, Multi Blue. In vitro breeding technology has been developed for them. Accounting and observation of the development of two terry clematis varieties in the tissue culture: Purpurea Plena Elegans, Multi Blue. The aim of our study is to develop a technology for clonally propagation for these varieties, as well as the adaptation of micro plants of these varieties to non-sterile conditions. Therefore, in vitro propagation is recommended for these two varieties. An optimal substrate composition has been developed for the adaptation of clematis plants propagated in vitro, as well as for cuttings. The article provides recommendations for planting, pruning and caring for uterine plantings of clematis with double flowers in sheltered ground.

Relevance. To meet the demand of the domestic consumer and the effective import substitution of for- eign breeding varieties, Garden phlox (Phlox paniculata L.) needs to breed new varieties with high decorative properties, stability and unpretentiousness. A prerequisite for successful generative reproduction of flowering plants to obtain new forms and varieties is the production of fertile, morphologically complete pollen.Methodology. The purpose of this work is to study the biological features of garden phlox flowering and pollination as part of the breeding process optimization and selecting promising parent pairs. The research was carried out for 2 years (2022-2023) in open ground conditions on the basis of the garden phlox domestic varieties bioresource collection on the territory of the Tsitsin’s Main Botanical Garden of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The peculiarities of the varieties flowering and pollination biology, by assessing the viability of pollen, were studied during the mass flowering phase in 11 varieties selected for their prospects for breeding using methods for assessing pollen viability by staining pollen with acetocarmine and using the M. Alexander method.Results. During the research, a number of garden phlox economically valuable features were established: variability structure of the inflorescence and flower morphology; duration of flowering (35 days or more); different periods of flowering (from mid-June to the end of August); the ability of some varieties to bloom again. It was found that the Alexander’s pollen staining method is more sensitive than acetocarmine staining, and allows for more accurate differentiation of colored pollen grains according to their fertility degree. For artificial pollination and hybridization in phlox, it is recommended to use fresh pollen collected from blooming and fading flowers, since it is in these phases that the pollen fertility index in some varieties exceeded 50% of the total weight. According to the results of the conducted research, the most promising pollinator varieties with a high level of pollen fertility were identified: Skazka (71.2%), Olenka (63.2%) and Gegery (66.7%). The prospect of using the Manon variety as a source of male sterility has been established.
