Deepfake is utilized in synthetic media to generate fake visual and audio content based on a person’s existing media. The deepfake replaces a person’s face and voice with fake media to make it realistic-looking. Fake media content generation is unethical and a threat to the community. Nowadays, deepfakes are highly misused in cybercrimes for identity theft, cyber extortion, fake news, financial fraud, celebrity fake obscenity videos for blackmailing, and many more. According to a recent Sensity report, over 96% of the deepfakes are of obscene content, with most victims being from the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, India, and South Korea. In 2019, cybercriminals generated fake audio content of a chief executive officer to call his organization and ask them to transfer $243,000 to their bank account. Deepfake crimes are rising daily. Deepfake media detection is a big challenge and has high demand in digital forensics. An advanced research approach must be built to protect the victims from blackmailing by detecting deepfake content. The primary aim of our research study is to detect deepfake media using an efficient framework. A novel deepfake predictor (DFP) approach based on a hybrid of VGG16 and convolutional neural network architecture is proposed in this study. The deepfake dataset based on real and fake faces is utilized for building neural network techniques. The Xception, NAS-Net, Mobile Net, and VGG16 are the transfer learning techniques employed in comparison. The proposed DFP approach achieved 95% precision and 94% accuracy for deepfake detection. Our novel proposed DFP approach outperformed transfer learning techniques and other state-of-the-art studies. Our novel research approach helps cybersecurity professionals overcome deepfake-related cybercrimes by accurately detecting the deepfake content and saving the deepfake victims from blackmailing.

Employee attrition refers to the natural reduction in the employees in an organization due to many unavoidable factors. Employee attrition results in a massive loss for an organization. The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) determines that USD 4129 is the average cost-per-hire for a new employee. According to recent stats, 57.3% is the attrition rate in the year 2021. A research study needs to be implemented to find the causes of employee attrition and a learning framework to predict employee attrition. This research study aimed to analyze the organizational factors that caused employee attrition and the prediction of employee attrition using machine learning techniques. The four machine learning techniques were applied in comparison. The proposed optimized Extra Trees Classifier (ETC) approach achieved an accuracy score of 93% for employee attrition prediction. The proposed approach outperformed recent state-of-the-art studies. The Employee Exploratory Data Analysis (EEDA) was applied to determine the factors that caused employee attrition. Our study revealed that the monthly income, hourly rate, job level, and age are the key factors that cause employee attrition. Our proposed approach and research findings help organizations overcome employee attrition by improving the factors that cause attrition.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a critical disorder in women during their reproduction phase. The PCOS disorder is commonly caused by excess male hormone and androgen levels. The follicles are the collections of fluid developed by ovaries and may fail to release eggs regularly. The PCOS results in miscarriage, infertility issues, and complications during pregnancy. According to a recent report, PCOS is diagnosed in 31.3% of women from Asia. Studies show that 69% to 70% of women did not avail of a detecting cure for PCOS. A research study is needed to save women from critical complications by identifying PCOS early. The main aim of our research is to predict PCOS using advanced machine learning techniques. The dataset based on clinical and physical parameters of women is utilized for building study models. A novel feature selection approach is proposed based on the optimized chi-squared (CS-PCOS) mechanism. The ten hyper-parametrized machine learning models are applied in comparison. Using the novel CS-PCOS approach, the gaussian naive bayes (GNB) outperformed machine learning models and state-of-the-art studies. The GNB achieved 100% accuracy, precision, recall, and f1-scores with minimal time computations of 0.002 seconds. The k-fold cross-validation of GNB achieved a 100% accuracy score. The proposed GNB model achieved accurate results for critical PCOS prediction. Our study reveals that the dataset features prolactin (PRL), blood pressure systolic, blood pressure diastolic, thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), relative risk (RR-breaths), and pregnancy are the prominent factors having high involvement in PCOS prediction. Our research study helps the medical community overcome the miscarriage rate and provide a cure to women through the early detection of PCOS.

Heart failure is a chronic disease affecting millions worldwide. An efficient machine learning-based technique is needed to predict heart failure health status early and take necessary actions to overcome this worldwide issue. While medication is the primary treatment, exercise is increasingly recognized as an effective adjunct therapy in managing heart failure. In this study, we developed an approach to enhance heart failure detection based on patient health parameter data involving machine learning. Our study helps improve heart failure detection at its early stages to save patients’ lives. We employed nine machine learning-based algorithms for comparison and proposed a novel Principal Component Heart Failure (PCHF) feature engineering technique to select the most prominent features to enhance performance. We optimized the proposed PCHF mechanism by creating a new feature set as an innovation to achieve the highest accuracy scores. The newly created dataset is based on the eight best-fit features. We conducted extensive experiments to assess the efficiency of several algorithms. The proposed decision tree method outperformed the applied machine learning models and other state-of-the-art studies, achieving a high accuracy score of 100%, which is admirable. All applied methods were successfully validated using the cross-validation technique. Our proposed research study has significant scientific contributions to the medical community.

Human pose and gesture estimation are crucial in correcting physiotherapy fitness exercises. In recent years, advancements in computer vision and machine learning approaches have led to the development of sophisticated pose estimation models that accurately track and analyze human movements in real time. This technology enables physiotherapists and fitness trainers to gain valuable insights into their client’s exercise forms and techniques, facilitating more effective exercise corrections and personalized training regimens. This research aims to propose an efficient artificial intelligence method for human pose estimation during physiotherapy fitness exercises. We utilized a multi-class exercise dataset based on human skeleton movement points to conduct our experimental research. The dataset comprises 133 features derived from human skeleton movements during various exercises, resulting in high feature dimensionality that affects the performance of human pose estimation with machine learning and deep learning methods. We have introduced a novel Logistic regression Recursive Feature elimination (LogRF) method for feature selection. Extensive experiments demonstrate that using the top twenty selected features, the random forest method outperformed state-of-the-art studies with a high-performance score of 0.998. The performance of each applied method is validated through a k-fold approach and further enhanced using hyperparameter tuning. Our proposed study assists specialists in identifying and addressing potential biomechanical issues, improper postures, and incorrect movement patterns, which are essential for injury prevention and optimizing exercise outcomes. Furthermore, this study enhances the capabilities of remote monitoring and guidance capabilities, allowing physiotherapists to support their patient’s progress with prescribed exercises continually.

Network attacks refer to malicious activities exploiting computer network vulnerabilities to compromise security, disrupt operations, or gain unauthorized access to sensitive information. Common network attacks include phishing, malware distribution, and brute-force attacks on network devices and user credentials. Such attacks can lead to financial losses due to downtime, recovery costs, and potential legal liabilities. To counter such threats, organizations use Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) that leverage sophisticated algorithms and machine learning techniques to detect network attacks with enhanced accuracy and efficiency. Our proposed research aims to detect network attacks effectively and timely to prevent harmful losses. We used a benchmark dataset named CICIDS2017 to build advanced artificial intelligence-based machine learning methods. We propose a novel approach called Class Probability Random Forest (CPRF) for network attack detection performance enhancement. We created a novel feature set using the proposed CPRF approach. The CPRF approach predicts the class probabilities from the network attack dataset, which are then used as features for building applied machine learning methods. The comprehensive research results demonstrated that the random forest approach outperformed the state-of-the-art approach with a high-performance accuracy of 99.9%. The performance of each applied technique is validated using a k-fold approach and optimized with hyperparameter tuning. Our novel proposed research has revolutionized network attack detection, effectively preventing unauthorized access, service disruptions, sensitive information theft, and data integrity compromise.
