Prof. Sofiane Khelladi received his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Polytechnic School of Algiers in 1999 (Algeria), and his MSc in Energy Conversion from Sorbonne Université (France) in 2003. In 2005, he got his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Arts et Métiers Institute of Technology (ENSAM) in France. He is currently a Full Professor at ENSAM. He has served as Director of the Laboratory of Fluid Engineering and Energy Systems (LIFSE) since 2020. He is co-founder of the joint laboratory with Valeo on the theme of Thermal Systems Engineering for Land Mobility (ISYTHERM), which he has headed since 2018. He headed the Energy, Turbomachinery, and Internal Fluid Flows Research Group of DynFluid Laboratory at ENSAM from 2014 to 2019. His research work concerns fluid flow modeling and analysis for the design of complex fluid and energy systems and more particularly turbomachines. The scientific approach that he favors is predominantly theoretical and numerical with an experimental component-oriented, in most cases, for validation purposes.
