Information

I have been a Full Professor at the University School from 1998 to 2012 and I am currently a Full Professor at the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering of the University of Córdoba since 2013. My specialties as a teacher are Instrumentation, data acquisition and Signal Processing. I also participate as a professor in the Master's Degree in Distributed Renewable Energy and in the Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of Córdoba. Currently my research activity is related to the application of high precision synchronization techniques for distributed Instrumentation systems. This activity is perfectly defined in the paper "Embedding synchronized measurement technology for smart grid development" published in a magazine of high scientific relevance such as the "IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics." To these two main lines of work must be added my last contributions related to the analysis of the level of determinism that we can achieve with Ethernet communications in combination with the synchronization of equipment in a distributed system. For this reason, my latest work is related to the application of the IEC 61850 standard for industrial communications in real time. I am currently principal investigator of the project “Monitoring And Integration of energy data with Seamless Temporal Accuracy for photovoltaic plants” of the State Plan of Spain 2017-2020 for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation.
