Addressing the issues of low harvesting efficiency and high losses in current pod pepper harvesters, this study presents the design of a bionic comb finger pod pepper picking device and an inclined double-spiral bell pepper harvester to improve the harvest rate and reduce loss rate. Through the utilization of discrete element simulation software EDEM, a discrete element model for pod peppers is established. Additionally, a simulation platform for ground drop loss during pod pepper picking is developed, enabling exploration of the movement trajectory and velocity changes of the pod pepper elements. The study also conducts an analysis on the impact of the speed of the picking rollers X1, the feeding speed of pod peppers X2, and the spacing between the two picking rollers X3 on ground drop losses. Based on the results of the single-factor test, the Box–Behnken response surface test was used to optimize the working parameters of the picking device, which resulted in the optimal combination of the working parameters of the picking device: the speed of the picking rollers was 680.41 rpm, the feeding speed of the pod peppers was 0.5 m/s, and the spacing between the two picking rollers was 12 mm, which resulted in the loss rate of pod peppers on the floor of the ground being 3.526%.

High-resolution remote sensing is essential for information acquisition in smart agriculture, yet real-time processing remains a critical challenge. Although high-resolution imagery provides comprehensive data, its massive volume complicates efficient handling. Existing techniques are predominantly restricted to offline scenarios, conflicting with the practical requirements for online acquisition and transmission. To address these challenges, we propose an adaptive sparse coding method for agricultural remote sensing images that dynamically selects compression strategies based on image content. Using this approach, we developed an embedded terminal system for real-time agricultural data transmission over 5G networks. Experimental results show that at a 95% compression ratio, transmission time is reduced by over 90% compared with uncompressed images. The method also achieves high-fidelity reconstruction; the deviation rates for the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) and normalized difference red edge index (NDRE) remain below 5% even at a 97% compression ratio. This approach offers fast transmission, high compression efficiency, and strong reconstruction quality, making it suitable for field equipment such as unmanned aerial vehicles in real-time monitoring networks.

Diffusion models are the mainstream approach for time series generation tasks. However, existing diffusion models for time series generation require retraining the entire framework to introduce specific conditional guidance. There also exists a certain degree of distributional bias between the generated data and the real data, which leads to potential model biases in downstream tasks. Additionally, the complexity of diffusion models and the latent spaces leads to an uninterpretable inference process. To address these issues, we propose the data style-guided diffusion model (DS-Diffusion). In the DS-Diffusion, a diffusion framework based on style-guided kernels is developed to avoid retraining for specific conditions. The time-information based hierarchical denoising mechanism (THD) is developed to reduce the distributional bias between the generated data and the real data. Furthermore, the generated samples can clearly indicate the data style from which they originate. We conduct comprehensive evaluations using multiple public datasets to validate our approach. Experimental results show that, compared to the state-of-the-art model such as ImagenTime, the predictive score and the discriminative score decrease by 5.56% and 61.55%, respectively. The distributional bias between the generated data and the real data is further reduced, the inference process is also more interpretable. Moreover, by eliminating the need to retrain the diffusion model, the flexibility and adaptability of the model to specific conditions are also enhanced.
