Dr Eifion Jewell has a BEng and PhD in Mechanical Engineering and is an Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering and director at SPECIFIC IKC at Swansea University. He has varied research interests in the fields of liquid and coated products as well as thermal storage for low carbon heating. At SPECIFIC, he has responsibilities for transferring laboratory science into industrial solutions for the coated products for the architectural and packaging industries. This covers volume production manufacturing and material issues as well as failure mechanisms that can occur at the organic/inorganic interface through environmental exposure. He has published over 80 international journal and conference papers.
