The New Culture of Water (NCW) is a catalyst for sustainable transformation between political agreements and the unsustainability of the real world, thus requiring an integral participation for an efficient water management where the academy will try to make a substantial contribution. Therefore, this study aimed to design, implement and evaluate four competencies: Knowledge, Attitude, Perception and Practices (KAPP) of a formal program of Education for Sustainability (EfS) on the New Water Culture (NWC), addressing issues such as prevention of water quality, conservation and efficient use at home. To carry out the evaluation, a semi-structured survey of 47 items was conducted in three stages: at the beginning (diagnostic), during the development of the (EfS) (formative) and at the end (summative). A total of 103 nursing students participated in the (EfS), divided into two groups A and B, with the addition of group C as a control group. The results showed that group A had the best results, in general. Statistical tests to calculate the mean, standard deviation (SD) and a validation with the nonparametric Wilcoxon test showing a significant change in the participants of group A, which indicated an important impact of the (EfS). This study also provides an overview of the community situation that can help trigger early warnings to identify weaknesses in water management.

The purpose of this research was to design and validate a research instrument that delimits the degree of proenvironmental behavior (CPA). For the design and validation, the instrument was subjected to a review with specialists in the area. Subsequently, it was applied to the student community of the Autonomous University of Guerrero (UAGro). To define the adequacy and reliability of the items, along with their comprehension, was applied to a pilot group of 76 students. During the first review, the research instrument was approved by 15 experts, who also made suggestions. The reviewers endorsed the validity of the items’ content, and an optimum reliability score was obtained (Cronbach's alpha: 0.778). It is concluded that the evaluation instrument is valid in content, reliable, and accessible to monitor and evaluate the pro-environmental behavior in students.

This study evaluates the green synthesis of iron nanoparticles (Fe-NPs) using agricultural waste extracts and their application for modifying natural zeolite from Chihuahua (Mexico) to remove ciprofloxacin (CPX) from aqueous media. The approach provides an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional nanoparticle synthesis by employing biomass-derived reducing agents. The natural and Fe-NP-modified zeolites were characterized by FTIR, EDX, and XRD. CPX adsorption was evaluated through kinetic and equilibrium isotherm experiments, supported by comprehensive statistical analyses, including correlation coefficients (R), ANOVA and statistical evaluation of model parameters. Langmuir modeling yielded maximum adsorption capacities (qmax) of 19.11 mg g−1 for natural zeolite and 22.99 mg g−1 for Fe-NP-modified zeolite, representing an approximately 20.3% higher model-estimated capacity after Fe modification. However, the overlapping confidence intervals indicate that this increase should be interpreted cautiously. Isotherm analysis showed that both the Langmuir and Freundlich models adequately described CPX adsorption, while statistical criteria indicated a better fit of the Freundlich model for the Fe-modified zeolite, consistent with a more heterogeneous adsorption surface. Overall, Fe-NP modification appears to alter the adsorption capacity and energetic characteristics of zeolite rather than simply producing a large increase in experimentally observed uptake. These findings highlight the potential of green Fe-NP-modified zeolites as tunable, low-cost materials for antibiotic removal from water.
