José Antonio Tenorio Ríos has a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Caminos, Canales y Puertos (ETSICCP), Madrid University, and a PhD from Seville University. He has been working at the Eduardo Torroja Institute for construction Science (CSIC) in the Quality in Construction Unit from 1999 to 2016. In 2010, he was the head of the unit combining technical tasks with research projects until 2016, when he moved to the Department of Structural Safety. Dr. Tenorio has been a Tenured Scientist in CSIC since 2017 and the leader of a research group under the name Advanced and Sustainable Construction, now in the Construction Department. He is the chairman of the SC1 CTN198 UNE Building Sustainability standardization committee and a member of CEN/TC 350.
